Ana María Román era una atleta, pero paró durante varios años su vida activa a causa de su enfermedad, Guillain-Barré. Encontró en el yoga y en el remo en tabla de surfing un escape, una nueva razón de vida para construir confianza y nuevas relaciones. Ella compartirá un poco de su historia para alentar a las personas con alguna discapacidad a encontrar algo significativo.

Ana Maria Roman was an athlete, but she stopped for several years after developing Guillain-Barre syndrome. Eventually, yoga and paddle boarding became her escape, and a new reason for living by allowing her to build confidence and new relationships. She will share a little bit of her story to encourage people with a disability to find a meaningful hobby.

Ana Maria Román es una Psicóloga que disfruta del yoga y el remo en table de surfing como terapia para volver a conectar con las personas y aprender a mejorar su salud. Ha estado sufriendo una enfermedad crónica en la que tuvo que volver a aprender a respirar, caminar y comer. Estuvo aislada por COVID19, pero descubrió que el yoga está mejorando su confianza en sí misma y su salud.

Ana Maria Roman is a Psychologist who enjoys yoga and paddle boarding to connect again with people and learn how to improve her health. As a result of a chronic illness, she had to learn how to breathe, walk and eat again. She was isolated for COVID19, but she discovered that yoga is improving her self-confidence and her health.
